NFS-420
Non-functioning sensor
Size matters.
We developed the NFS-420 for those who are satisfied with their current phony LiDAR sensor but feel reluctant to kick it to the curb and upgrade to a sensor with a larger girth. The NFS-420 retains the same level of functionality as the NFS-69 while now boasting a more impressive size.
Crafted from the finest 3D-printed PLA core and careful decal placement, the NFS-420 is convincing enough to fool even the most avid lurker of /r/SelfDrivingCars. We know because we’ve done it.
Disguise in disguise.
With your Parodyne LiDAR sensor properly installed, it is possible to take your hands off of the steering wheel and relinquish control of your vehicle.
However we don’t recommend doing this. Due to the current stage of development, our LiDAR sensors are are not yet ready for use in level 4 and above autonomous driving systems, and are only fit for manual driving.
Drive poorly to create a more convincing self-driving illusion.
