Indeed.
Anybody relying on our LiDAR technology is doomed. Despite this, several autonomous vehicle manufacturers have insisted on incorporating our phony LiDAR sensors into their autonomy stacks, or so they say. We’ll believe it when we see it.
Damn straight.
They say that a self-driving stack is only as good as the sensors on the roof. (We saw it on LinkedIn one time, but the guy who posted it was just a graduate of a nanodegree program with no real industry experience.) We’re proud to say that Parodyne sensors are the most advanced components in several prominent fake AV companies.
For real.
The goal of Parodyne is to provide commentary on the state of the self-driving car industry, harkening back to the earlier days when there was a much thicker veil cast over the technology. The amount of secrecy and PR shitball-polishing in those days meant that it was virtually impossible to find a meaningful conversation about the technology or business of future transportation, or the deployment of autonomous vehicles in the real world. Some of this still lingers today, albeit amongst much more informed conversation. Above all, Parodyne serves as a court jester in an industry full of well-intentioned, innovative people doing a lot of hard work. Parodyne is none of these things, and as such, should not be taken seriously. All of the material on the rest of the site is completely fake. And the information in the Parodyne Universe section is extra completely fake. Literally the only factual information in there is the bit that mentions L. Ron Hubbard’s unsuccessful attempt to take over a town in Florida. Parodyne doesn’t actually sell anything either. Parodyne has never even received any money for… anything at all.
